~ How To Stay Young ~

 1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them'.

 2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

 3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.'

 4. Enjoy the simple things.

 5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

 6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

 7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

 8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

 9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

 10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

  1. 2. This is wonderful. Pat! I'd love to write it on my mirror!!! :-)

  3. Good Morning Sweetie...
Pat this is just the most beautiful post. I love the thoughts of each number you have listed. Thank you for sharing today. As always I so enjoy my visits.

    Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

  4. Here here! Well said!! And a good reminder of the benefits of staying positive!!!

    Have a wonderful day!

  5. I love this advice. I think I read it years ago, but it's more pertinent now. And thankfully, I'm practicing these on a regular basis. It works for me!!

  6. That is perfect. I really do try to live that way...but, the numbers thing is something I can't quite get past. I'll work on it!

  7. Thanks for your sweet comments.

You know how you get an idea in your head and you just have to have it like that. Then you can't find THAT anywhere or anything close to THAT so you have to make THAT yourself. Problem is I do THAT with a lot of things.

It makes my Heart happy to hear from you! Thank you so much for taking the time to say hello. I want to respond to each comment, however, if you are a "no reply blogger" I can't. Would love to have an email address to contact you!
