~ Changes ~

It's been a difficult week but I'm trying to get back in the swing of things.  I've missed all of you so much!  Not only your sweet comments here, but visiting all the wonderful blogs that I love and catching up with what everyone is doing.

I am moving ~ and let me tell you, at this point I am very tempted to just take my coffee pot and my precious Forrester and just walk away.  ;-)  Sorting, donating, is just a lot plus I'm having trouble with my knees.  Now, I hate to admit that!  I'm not old (in my mind) and mentally I think I can do anything I want to.  :-)  Seriously, not sure what's happened...I think it might be the shoes I've been wearing so I've put them away.  I've used ice, heat, Tylenol, you name it.  Perhaps it's the days of aerobics and all those lunges??

I LOVE where I live now. It's a little over 2 yrs old, really nice and convenient to a lot of places. The place I'm moving to is about 15 miles west and, at this point, sort of  'out in the country'.  I feel sure the area will be developed but it's extremely quiet now. It is about 2-1/2 yrs old, again very nice and a LOT less expensive.  That is the part that has encouraged me to move plus my lease is up here 3/31 and they've bumped up the cost.  My move date is Friday, 3/26 so I will be around until then. Prolly have to have a computer break for a few days.  :-)

What's new with you?  Are you anticipating spring?  It's been gorgeous here the past few days ~ lots of sunshine and warmer temps. I've had the doors open and thoroughly enjoying the change. I suspect rain will find us again Sunday but hopefully, it won't last long.  I'd love to hear from you!

  1. I wake up with all sorts of new aches and pains lately and I don't think I am old. I think I just need a lube job or something. Seriously, I hope your pain goes away or you get to the bottom of it.

Moving is SO stressful. I wish you the best. Your new place sounds nice...maybe you'll enjoy the peace and quiet. I know I would! ;-)

    Have a great weekend, Pat!

  2. Pat I'm sure the move will be a wonderful change for you! I know moving is so tiring and unsettling though. ~Whew! Good luck with everything. I would help you pack if I could. *Smiles*

    Keep us posted. ~Melissa :)

PS I just got your email and kind comment too. Thank you!

  3. Honey I do feel for being in pain is not fun and having to pack and move is also something I would not like to do girl...I have been here since 1988 so it would take me forever to move from here...I told Len when he moved in here 4 years ago the only way I'm leaving here is in a pine box...less packing for me to do let someone else do it ha ha!!
Wished I was closer Pat I would help you my friend...of course it might be the blind helping the blind but we would get it done...Have a GREAT weekend my friend...I going off this mountain top tomorrow with my granddaughter...YAHOO!! Hugs and smiles love ya sis...Gl♥ria

  4. Hi Pat,
Sorry you've been having it rough for the past week. I, too, have these mysterious aches and pains. They come and go, my knee and shoulder mostly. It's bad after a day on the computer for sure, but the knee - well I never know when it's going to start bothering me. My husband says to take vitamin I (that's for ibuprofen!), I do take a lot of that. Getting older is not for the weak!!!
Hope your move goes well and you get settled in real quickly. I want to see your new place!

  5. It's the lunges..they are killers! Sounds like a fun move though, bet you'll love it! Pictures please! :D

  6. My favorite shoes are Privos by Clarke, they have saved me many times with all the walking I do. They aren't cheap, but they are worth it!

Sorry you are moving from a place you love, but glad you will be saving money. Maybe you will fall in love with the new place too! Moving is so hard...take care.

  7. Thank-you Pat for your sweet note to Colette!

Sounds like you are in life transformation! There are many gifts buried in being able to "just walk away"...
so much freedom and the ability to restart and rethink everything. How wonderful to start fresh!

You are a blessing to many thanks again for your kindness!

    love, kelee

  8. Hi Pat, I hope you get your pain under control soon. I don't think age has anything to do with it, I think it's our lifestyles. Trying to get everything done is short periods of time... Congrats on your move. I'm sure you're looking forward to the peace and quiet of mother nature.. Wish I could be there to help you pack and unpack, but will be there in spirit. I'll be thinking about you.. hugs ~lynne~

It makes my Heart happy to hear from you! Thank you so much for taking the time to say hello. I want to respond to each comment, however, if you are a "no reply blogger" I can't. Would love to have an email address to contact you!
