~ A crazy week ~

I think the full moon was really over last week but it didn't feel that way to me. Not sure what was going on but not a lot of fun things here.  Allergies, migraines & vertigo reared their ugly heads and I felt lousy most of the week.  I didn't have the energy or the creativity to create, cook or bake anything exciting. Had some computer problems so unable to visit your wonderful blogs but I think that is resolved now.

Have you noticed the price of food?  Wow, it seems each time I go grocery shopping another $1.00 or so has been added to prices.  The price of gasoline is out of sight...and that is totally ridiculous, in my humble opinion. :-)  We have such a wealth of oil right here in the U.S., however, our gov't seems to love keeping us dependent on foreign oil.  Not sure if you are familiar with the Bakken Formation or not. Two friends of mine in my Bible Study group are from N.D. and have explained a lot about this. There are tons of jobs available in that area and not many are aware. The small towns are not equipped for the influx of people coming there to work so lots of new accomodations need to be built. That creates positions for carpenters, tile masons & all types of construction workers. Then there is a need for more restaurants, hotels/motels, homes, apts, etc.

Ok, enough of the negative!  :-)  It has been predominantly sunshine each day and temps in the 60's and 70's. I am sorting through lots of paper work and shredding. Do you ever procrastinate doing this and then you have a ton of it like I do?  I've also been reading and that is a joy!  I'm going through photos and negatives of same and deciding on which ones to have printed or perhaps enlarged for framing. I LOVE having photos scattered around!  It will soon be time to plant containers for my patio....can't wait!  Flowers and green plants make me so happy.

What have you been up to?  I've really missed connecting with all of you this past week.

  1. Hi Pat!!~ Yes the price of food is insane...and with two growing boys, I really need to be frugal. Tonight we are going bowling and to Olive garden...we are going with other friends and their kids. Oh and last night, I had my first scentsy was so much fun. I will be sharing soon. So that is what I have been up to:) XO

  2. Pat,
So happy that you came and palnts make me happy too:) Maybe with the high cost of food, then I just might get some needed pounds off before my daughters wedding in July.

  3. Hey Pat,

I'm glad you are feeling a little better. Stay warm, safe, and home. It's getting too expensive to go out much. Spring, Summer and gardening will be welcome and savored around here. We have lots to do!!!!

Fun to hear from you. Hoping you feel stronger each day.

  4. Well you have been missed sweetie!! So sorry you've been under the weather, that is no fun!! I hope you are feeling back to your normal self. Isn't our weather absolutely beautiful right now? I hope it is here to stay!! I am always crazy busy between work and the kiddies, my house is a three ring circus but I guess I wouldn't have it any other way, they grow up so fast!! It is wonderful hearing from you again and I hope your computer plays nice so we can visit. :) Have a lovely Sunday!!! :)

  5. I bought groceries yesterday and was just shocked at the price increase of last week....the fruits and vegetables were awful!
Hope you are feeling better and have a great Sunday.

  6. Sorry it hasn't been a good week for you. Migraine visited my house the past couple days too...I blame it on the weather. We have storms getting ready to roll in.

We had the little grandsons last night, other than that it was a pretty quiet week. I got a new camera I just have to learn to use it!

  7. Pat, I'm so sorry you were under the weather last week! I hope this week is a better week for you. It sounds like you are getting a lot accomplished. You are right about the price of food and the price of gas. It's ridiculous! Take care, my friend and enjoy those nice temps. We had ice falling for most of the day today. No sign of spring here yet. :)

  8. Like you, I put off dealing with all the paperwork and I do love photos! Trying not to think about the cost of food and gasoline!

  9. Hi Pat, The price of food is going up here in Australia too, actually I think you would probably be much happier with your bill if you saw how much things are here, especially after the floods and cyclones in Queensland where a lot of our Fresh veg and fruit comes from,on the bright side I shouldn't complain our wine is still cheap and its great quality.
I love that you are not afraid to be a bit political, In Australia we have the worst government at the moment and they are in for a while. We are a very rich company in minerals and gas etc just like the US so what do we do? we sell it cheap overseas so that they can send it back us all packaged up and more expensive, I could go on forever but I won't, Have a great day Sharon x

It makes my Heart happy to hear from you! Thank you so much for taking the time to say hello. I want to respond to each comment, however, if you are a "no reply blogger" I can't. Would love to have an email address to contact you!
