~ Ramblings ~

I've been MIA this past week...just seems like a lot going on and not enough time for everything!

As you can see, here's a "spring" blog design that Jenn has been working on.  I've felt the need for lighter and brighter so hopefully, you will like this.  She's a doll to work with and has the patience of Job. If you're interested in something new, please drop her a line!

The people of Japan have been on my mind soooooo much ~ they are such a resilient group and are living on so little yet sharing with each other. I wonder how we, as U.S. citizens, would react in such dire circumstances.  Do you think we would all share and be kind to each other?

I'm still attempting to get this place the way I want it and to be comfortable. I feel that I still have too many "things" and in a way, it makes me feel frivolous.  Especially considering the comments above ~

We had 2 beautiful days without any wind and it was fantastic!!  I know, so many still have cold temps and snow but the wind has been horrific for anyone with allergies.  This is not counting the dust that blows around either.

IF you've made it this far, thank you!!  I realize it's not a DIY post, a recipe or something I've purchased....just a few thoughts that have been on my mind.  Hope you have a wonder*filled weekend!

  1. Hooray! You found it. It all looks FABULOUS and PRETTY Pat! Just like you my friend. Jenn is wonderful.

    Enjoy your spring weekend!
    ~Melissa :)

  2. Melissa,
Yes, Jenn is wonderful! She's so very talented and has the patience of Job.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Oh, this is just gorgeous, and I think Jenn did a fabulous job! Everyone is getting newer cuter blogs, I need one. I don't like the new wallpaper I had, but they cancelled my old one. I may have to contact her. I love her little flourishes!

Yes, you do wonder how you would react in a crisis like they have been experiencing, how your neighbors and friends and family and government would act.

Have a wonderful weekend to my favorite Gypsy friend!

  4. Your blog looks wonderful, Pat!! I love it!

  5. It does look fabulous, Pat! I am so with ya on the wind and dust....been miserable for weeks with allergies now. But, today was beautiful. Hoping for another day like that tomorrow!

  6. I love the new look! Very pretty...why a gypsy? Ancestors? Really like it. ;D

  7. Pat I am glad you are enjoying your new look. I think your friend did a great job for you.
Yes to your question about would Americans be kind to each other. I really believe we would but of course I don't want to have to find out. It is heartbreaking knowing what the people are going through in Japan.
Glad you came by and said hello. I am so behind on blogging and everything these days.
Wish you could go to Round Top it is a wonderful get away but only 14 miles for me....which is too close
    Take care

  8. Pat-Your new header is great..I love it! I am like you and sometimes feel ashamed of all I have when some have so little..and the people in Japan, well, it just tears at my heart!

We had record snowfalls here this past week. I am traveling this week and there is solid rain where I am staying. UGH...I am sooo ready for Spring! xxoo Diana

  9. I love your blog! Thanks for sharing all those wonderful recipes and their beautiful pictures to go along with them (Um, I think I gained ten pounds between your praline bundt cake and the mud pie!) ;)
    I'm your newest follower!

  10. I love the new look,,,,,it is just perfect! She did a great job!

  11. I love your new blog pretty. I hope your weather cheers up a bit...I know when the sun is shining it sure motivates me more to do things around here.

  12. I almost didn't recognize you with your new the new look! As for how we would react in this country...I think most would pull together and help each other. Crisis tends to bring out the best in most people. What I find sad in our country is that there are those that tend to "loot" and benefit from the loss of others and that we tend to point fingers at politicians, agencies etc. instead of solving the issues first.

It makes my Heart happy to hear from you! Thank you so much for taking the time to say hello. I want to respond to each comment, however, if you are a "no reply blogger" I can't. Would love to have an email address to contact you!
