~ Birthday Table ~

This is how the table began ~ I just haven't been able to decide how to finish it until now.  I honestly don't know if I'll leave it as is or not.  ;-)  I'm really thinking I'll go back and put a glaze on it.

I stenciled and/or painted each of my family's birthdays on the top of the table. Notice I've started sanding...

This design is stenciled on the front ~

The photos are certainly not the best but I am sanding it all!

Yes, her pretty legs are being roughed up ~ :/

I applied clear wax over all and then buffed it.

I still have 3 other pieces to paint. We shall see how it goes with them.

  1. Wow, that is looking good! I like the idea of birthday numbers, could be the cake table! (I am not sure if Honey is back from her blogging break yet?) xo

  2. I am so proud of you Pat. What a great job you did and with such sentiment!

  3. Pat- It looks great- I love it!!! xo Diana

  4. Hi Pat,

You did a beautiful job! I love your birthday numbers and the scrollie designs. I love it!!!

  5. Hi, I think this is a great look, and you've done a really good job. Love the shape of the legs.

  6. WOW I love those legs : ) Your table is going to look so beautiful.
Thank you for your sweet words at my place...don't you just LOVE Maggie???? She is such a love!

  7. Wow your table really turned out pretty. What a great idea and the color is awesome.
You did a great job honey.
Can't wait to see the other pieces.
    Wish I had your talent.

  8. This is so cool! I love what you have done with this, I would never have thought of it!

Thanks for the sweet words about Nike. It has been a tough few days, yesterday almost did me in. We ran out to get dinner after taking her and a semi hit us and kept on going. We were okay, $1100 damage to the car, which isn't too bad. You don't mess with people right after they lose their pet...I called 911 and my husband followed him, they got him! What a day!

  9. Thanks for stopping by for a visit. I'm your neighbor to the north of the Red River. Reading your profile, I suspect that we might have been separated at birth in the hospital...we have a whole lot of interests in common. Plus, I used to paint furniture on commission! Love your table. If you glaze, be careful to find one that won't yellow over time...one of the significant hazards of DIY painted projects. Thanks for the follow...I'm following you right back! Cherry Kay

  10. I wish I was as inspired as you are to get things done. I'm doing absolutely none of the projects that I have lined up. I love the idea of a birthday table. Nice job, Pat!

It makes my Heart happy to hear from you! Thank you so much for taking the time to say hello. I want to respond to each comment, however, if you are a "no reply blogger" I can't. Would love to have an email address to contact you!
