~ Ramblings ~

I found the above some time ago.  I think it speaks to relationships, however, I'm using it as a reminder as I "physically" move on.  The situation with the people upstairs has improved somewhat, however, this has happened in the past and then Bam!  we're back to the same ol' same ol'.  I've been looking for apts online a lot but only one property in person.  I really did like it!  It's adjacent to a nice residential area, is gated and is a smaller community. There is an attached garage that has an entrance into the apt. It's a large 1 BR/Bath which is smaller than I have now but hey, I honestly do not need all this "stuff" that I have do I?  :)

Your continued good thoughts and prayers are appreciated more than you know!

I have a few projects that I want to do but my mind is more than scattered right now. I know if I just sit down and start, it will be like mental therapy for me.

Please keep our military personnel as well as our country in your thoughts and prayers too. The act of moving ships toward N Korea is very scary.  We've been there once ~ isn't that enough?  I've honestly never understood why the U.S. comes to the aid of every country in the world while most of them hate us and never return the favor.  We spend billions on them and yet do not provide for our own.  Ok, down from my soap box!

I'm not sure if anyone north of the Red River likes pinto/red beans but it's a staple of Texas! :)
I made a huge pot yesterday and it always hits the spot on a rainy, cool day.  Add some Mexican cornbread and you're set!

Have a wonder*filled week ~

  2. That sign may have been intended for "realationships" but, it sure is a great reminder to everyone just for our everyday lives. I might just have to copy that list and hang it on the fridge of bathroom mirror! And thanks for thinking about us Pat. I haven't been online that much as of late ( friend of ours passed away this week). Nothing new regarding Lia. We generally get to talk to her once a week and she seems fine. There is kind of a sadness in her voice that tears me apart but, i do everything in my power to get some kind of giggle out of her while on the phone. As things stand right now we are "in line" at the Appeals court. Our attorney doesnt think they will even hear our case until Sept. Believe me, that is frustrating me so much but, I just pray and hang on to positive thoughts.
Good luck with finding a new place! Have a wonderful week Pat!

  10. Pat, very true and wonderful words to live by. I hope you can find the perfect place for yourself. Peace of mind is also something we all need. You don't need the guilt. Be happy and truly find someplace that you can relax and call Home. A pot of beans is always welcome on a chilly day. XO Linda

  13. Definitely pinning your list. I hope the apt. situation continues to improve so you don't have to move. The N. Korea drama makes me nervous too. Here's wishing you a good week Pat!

  15. I like the list above. I'm really good with numbers 5 on, but I don't take risks at all and if not now, when?

The new apartment sounds really nice, saying a little prayer that it all turns out well and if this is the one for you, you get it.

My brain is scattered right now too. I can't seem to focus on anything and there really is no reason in my case, hormones maybe? When in doubt, blame it on the hormones!

  16. Thanks for sharing your wise words about moving on Pat. I really liked it. And I'm praying you come to some resolution about your lhome. It must be so hard to not know if you're staying or going. The new place does sound so good, a new beginning....I think it will soon sort itself out naturally. Keep us posted

  18. Hi, Pat! I pray you'll find just the right apartment that is perfect for you in all aspects! Growing up it was always pinto beans and cornbread. But I recently had some Tex-Mex style beans that were really good! Not sure what my family would say if I said we were having beans and cornbread for supper. LOL! They'd probably all be eating cereal an hour later! LOL!

  19. LOL! Pat you have me cracking up...
the first time I put on a big pot of beans w/sausage and served them up with cornbread, my hubby didn't know what to do! It's a favorite story of our kids. He's a big fan now, though.
I really hope you can get out of your apt. and into a peaceful new place.
    Love your poster.
    xo, T.
