~ Remembering My Mother ~

Eleven years ago today, my mother made her transition to Heaven. She had been ill for a long time and didn't know any of us. It was so difficult to watch her deteriorate over the years. One thing I'm sure of, she has everything up there clean and shining!  We didn't have a "perfect" relationship but when you lose a parent, I believe it leaves a huge void in one's life.  I so hope that she and Abby have connected...what a team. :)

  1. Well I can't think of anything nicer than to imagine that your mother and Abby have united in heaven. In fact, I truly believe they have. Blessings to your dear mother Pat, she is at peace after a lot of difficult years. And I'm sure she must have been a special person to have raised a woman like you.

  2. I'm sure your Mom and Abby are together, dear Pat. I lost my Dad 28 years ago today. He was only 60 years old when he passed away. They're forever in our hearts. xo

  3. I believe they're together Pat - without a doubt !
My Father passed away when I was just a little girl - he was only 29 - I sometimes wonder if he'll be younger than me when we meet again !!!
( do you age in Heaven? )
    Lovely post :)

  6. While I didn't have the most perfect relationship with my mom either, she was a good woman and left us in 2000. As our dad had been gone a few years, it was inevitable that my brother and I felt like orphans which I suppose is not uncommon. Bless you for remembering your mother with such a beautiful rose.

  7. They have found each other and are comforted. It is sad to lose loved ones, whether we are close or not. I so miss my little sister who died too young. Big hugs to you . xo
