~ Honoring Abby - Part Two ~

I wanted to share the Balloon Release we did later in the evening. See the original post here

She loved pink and animal print!
If you look closely, there are pink ribbons tied to each balloon. I cut pink paper into squares and cut lengths of pink ribbon. We all wrote notes to her and tied them on the balloons.

My daughter and I.  I don't wear pink (don't judge!) so red was it!

And...they're off!
We've had so much wind here but that day there was not a breath of air moving.  We were concerned that the balloons would end up in the trees. There were several people there, however, I don't have their permission to share those photos.

They continued to lift ~ yay!!

Higher and higher!

 Movin' on!

We were so thrilled that they kept lifting!

Almost out of sight!
I feel sure she spoke to God and requested they rise higher and higher ~ :)

I want to thank each of you for reading these 2 posts and sharing your kind words, prayers and good thoughts!  As difficult as this loss has been, we do have to continue living and I know she would want that.

  1. This is one of the sweetest things that I have ever seen. I admire your strength, and continue to pray for you and your family. Your daughter is as beautiful as you are!

  2. What a beautiful way to honor Abby!

  3. So sweet. What a beautiful and memorable way to honor her. Those balloons are awesome!

  4. How beautiful! I'm sure Got just breathed on them as He breathed life into man. How incredible!

  5. beautiful photos...

they lift the viewer, right along with them.

i'm so happy that you did these things. with love, of course. and with a joy, also.

she would want you to go on. in memory, she will live forever. go on.... go on... go on.... with all the joy you can find. and this will be the greatest tribute to her.

    gentle hugs,
p.s. and other hope, that you continue blogging....

  6. What a fabulous idea. Absolutely beautiful way to honor and treasure dear Abby. Writing the little notes is awesome. Seeing the balloon rise higher and higher clearly puts them so close to Abby.

Much love to you dear Pat.

  7. How beautiful, touching and sentimental. I think about Abby and your family Pat always with thoughts, love and prayers. I lost a cousin at a very young age over 20 years ago. I still think about him every single day. We keep his memory alive though and what special memories and love we will always have near and dear to our hearts. XOXO

  8. Such a beautiful thing to do...she was soaring among the balloons..Sending hugs your way along with thoughts and continued prayers!

It makes my Heart happy to hear from you! Thank you so much for taking the time to say hello. I want to respond to each comment, however, if you are a "no reply blogger" I can't. Would love to have an email address to contact you!
