~ Texas Pride ~

I hope I don't bore you to death with all my "Texas" posts!  However, if you're not aware, Texans are very proud people and love the Lone Star State. :)

I honestly forget the camera when I'm working on crafts...I did try to make some photos of this process. Please forgive the glare ~ the glitter paper and the glass do not photograph well. Of course, if a pro were taking the photos with a 21st Century camera, I'm sure they would look awesome!

I was going to do this image in gold glitter but I discovered I already had this glitter paper so decided to use it. I found a map of Texas on Google, just the size I wanted, and printed it. Then I just cut it out and used it as a pattern to cut out the gold paper. Many of you know how much I love black and white and I felt I just had  to use this striped paper from Hobby Lobby as the background.

I wanted to define the DFW area where I live so I cut out a tiny heart from red paper and glued it on. It was a toss up between the heart and a star!  :)

A little larger view ~ again, I apologize for the glare!

I already had this black frame so using it kept the cost at 0 ~ yes, zero, zilch, nada!

You can see the frame a bit better here.

I got rid of an armoire I had and that opened up more wall space that had a small gallery wall to the left of the armoire. I need to fill the empty space so this is a beginning!  I'll show you the finished space one day soon...I hope. :)

i love, love, love any and all glitter!!!!

and worry not, about how it photographs. it's very hard to capture glitter and sparkle and such pretty stuff... you "see" it!!!! but when you go to "capture" it in a photo, it..... "wanders offffff".... ,-))))

your whole presentation, makes a striking wall hanging. and must look super, where you want to place it.

i am so, so, so, so happy to see you blogging!!!! and to know you are having fun!!!!!! keep at it, please do. and tell us, and show us.

    gentle hugs,
