~ More Prayers Please ~

I'd like to request prayers again please.  I know I did here but things have changed...for the worse. Joyce, my kid's step-mom, was in the hospital almost 2 weeks. She was diagnosed with lung cancer and it is in the bones also. The Dr's advised her to go home and get her affairs in order, do what she could and wanted to, etc.  :(  She's been home since last Friday, however, she fell this afternoon and was rushed back to the hospital. Seems her pelvis is broken and no word yet as to the prognosis.

My chemo buddy is certainly facing her challenges. It's beyond me as to the "why" of cancer research...what are they doing?  Is there more money for the pharmaceutical companies, doctors and hospitals not to find cures?  I just hate that anyone has to endure this dreadful disease. Of course, there are others...ALS, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, MS, etc.

I don't mean to be a "Debbie Downer" but would certainly appreciate your good thoughts, prayers, lighting a candle or whatever you do. Thanks a million!

  1. Pat, I was told many many years that there WAS a cure for cancer, but kept under wraps by pharmaceutical companies. The person who told me this was in cancer research, and this was in the early to mid seventies. It is very unfair, but so is life. We seem to all have difficult journeys. I will keep her in my prayers.

  4. Oh how sad....She has my prayers and healing thoughts. Such a deadly disease. I have also heard there is a cure, however like you said, there is a lot of money to be made if they keep us all in the dark. xo

  5. I am so sorry and will definitely keep her and all the family in my prayers. Cancer has reared its ugliness in our family more than once. It's sad to think that the people who are trained to help us, are in it for the money -- but they are. With all of our technology, cancer should have been cured and made preventable many years ago. Cancer drugs, treatments, researchers & oncologists would all lose so much money if there were a cure.

  7. I'm so sorry for Joyce, Pat. I know what cancer, chemo and all the drugs do to the body and it's also big business. She's in my prayers.
