~ 31 Days....or less ~

(Gwen Moss)

My sweet friend, Leslie is conducting an experiment of being fully present each day in October.  Check out her post on October 1, "Owning Your Life". She shared some thought provoking issues and I totally understand the overwhelm, comparison, not good enough and NOT being present in the moment.  That's all we really have ~ this moment. Sure, we can make plans, have a lengthy to-do list and a calendar full of appointments, meetings, run here/run there and I know we're missing out on something very special in our midst ~ kids asking questions or needing your attention in some way, a husband/boyfriend/significant other, other family members, friends and acquaintances all vying for "time" with you.

October is my favorite month so I'm going to attempt to join Leslie in this project. I know you're laughing out loud as I've never posted daily. Frankly, I don't know how people do it, especially if they have small children.  Where do you find the time?  Do you sleep at all?  :)  And please notice, the "or less" in the blog title. I've already missed a few days but my intention is to finish the month.

Please visit Leslie ~ if you are not aware of her blog, you're really missing out!  Let me know if you feel like joining in too.

  1. Hi, Gypsy...thanks so much for coming by.
I pretty much post every day...I have so many thoughts for posts that I can barely finish one before another is forming.
Good luck...I KNOW you can do it.:)

  2. I can't post everyday...I'd feel overwhelmed and it wouldn't be fun for me. Good luck to you, my friend.

  3. I will pop over and check out her blog. Yes-you can do this every day thing, Pat If I can do it- you can do it! xo Diana

  4. Pat, thank you for this beautiful post, you have such a way with words and always share such wisdom here. And thank for the shout out too, you are SOOO sweet. BTW--I'm loving your attitude. Hey, maybe everyday, maybe not. Honestly, wish I would've thought of your post title first...hahaha
ps. I'm so glad you're feeling better.

  5. I try to post every day! Not because I always have something to say, BUT... I seem to always have something to share for my journal! You can do it, girlfriend! I'll be visiting! HUGS!

  6. Re: Daily posting.

    1) If you are a chatter-box, like me, it's easy. ,-)

    2) If you always have something you "just have to" tell, like me, it is easy. -grin-

    3) If I ever lose my muse, I post that I am taking a few days off, from blogging. My muse immediately returns! ,-)

    4) Daily, it's my style. I don't "work on it." It's me. Never "work on" blogging. That makes it even harder, to do.

    5) The biggest thing, which keeps people from daily blogging is.... Worry they don't have anything MAHHHHHVELOUS to say, or to picture. Fiddle-dee-deee!

    6) Type at your keyboard, as if you were seated across the kitchen table, from one person. Talk to her. Talk to her. Talk to her.

    7) See? :-))))

  7. As to joining one of these blogging things... I don't. Joining in any of them, makes blogging a chore. To me. For me.

I have to always be spontaneous.

I can never "have to" do anything, in regard to how I blog.

Everyone who enjoys these prompts, go to it. :-)

  8. Good for you, Pat! I say whatever fills your sould- you should do it! I'll definitely check out Leslie and her blog.
Hope you have a great week!

  9. Such a beautiful post. I am so glad you are doing this! You have come so far and I am so happy you are feeling better. There is no way, I could post everyday. xo

  10. I don't know how people with young children find time to blog so often either. I haven't been blogging as much since school started because we've been so busy with school related activities, but I hope to get back into regular blogging soon. Good luck, I know you can do it!

  11. Thanks for sharing this. Looking forward to reading her post and following along.

It makes my Heart happy to hear from you! Thank you so much for taking the time to say hello. I want to respond to each comment, however, if you are a "no reply blogger" I can't. Would love to have an email address to contact you!
