~ Floods, Tornadoes, Destruction ~

I'm sure you've seen our weather conditions and all the damage on TV.  This rescue is a bit north of where I am, Denton and Sanger area ~ and there are many of these situations, unfortunately.

Cars, homes, businesses ~ there have been no favorites.

Just one view of the destruction in Van, TX, after the tornado.

At least one person was killed when a tornado touched

Mass devastation ~

Can you imagine having your home completely destroyed?  No clothes, toothbrushes or toothpaste, just basic necessities along with cars, photos, mementos, everything gone! The people of Van are amazing ~ those that have huge losses are out helping their friends and neighbors look for belongings, animals, you name it.

There are a jillion similar photos that are truly heartbreaking! There are two confirmed dead, 40+ hospitalized ~ some with life threatening injuries and many treated and released.

Sadly, looters are already targeting these areas!  Makes me sick ~  Stealing prescription drugs and anything they can carry out.

Please keep all of these people in your prayers, send good vibes, whatever you do. We have had a bit of sunshine today, however, rain & storms are forecast for the next 10 days or so.

  1. Oh Pat. These pictures are so heartbreaking. It's so sad because here in California we've got the worst drought in 1200 years. The weather is so bizarre these days. I'm sending my prayers to all these poor people who are experiencing destruction and loss.
I hope you're safe and that you're doing well my friend.

  2. So devastating. Keeping them all in my prayers. Hopefully the rain will let up soon. Stay safe!

  3. Oh Pat the path of destruction breaks your heart, I will keep everyone in my thoughts and prayers.

  4. I know:( SO sad to see those pictures of homes totally destroyed! I am praying for strength for them all as they start to rebuild! Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!

  5. Hi Pat, yes the destruction is just a bit north of us here in Flower Mound. Seeing it on TV is just heart breaking for those folks who lost so much and the lives lost too. Our prayers go out to all as they begin to build their life back.
More rain is on the way the rest of this week. We have not seen a spring like this is a long time here.
    Thoughts and prayers for all.
    Hugs, CM

  6. Great post Pat, we have really been through it up here in the past few days and sadly we are looking at more on the way before the week is out. Stay safe my friend!

  7. Pat,
I have seen this on our news up here. I feel so sorry for all of those with losing everything especially those that were injured. Sending prayers.

  8. It is heartbreaking, Pat, and the looters make me sick, too. How can humans be so thoughtless and greedy?
    Take care, my friend. xo

  9. keep thinking of my blogging friends in TX.

have to get specific locations of all of you. be cause when weather ch. shows radar, it's of a county, and individual 'towns/cities' showing. and I get completely lost.

need to write a post, asking for this info. if people want to give it to me, of course. and in private email of course. location is not for posting, or comment.

    be safe!!!!

  10. How devastating !
The weather seems to be crazy all over. One day we are sweating to death and the next we are wearing
    our winter jackets.
    Stay safe my friend.

  11. Oh dear Pat! These pics are so heartbreaking and my thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the tornados. Hope that you are safe!

  12. Pat--I'm keeping you and your fellow Texans in my prayers--be safe!
