~ Benefits of Lemon Water ~


I'm sure everyone is aware that drinking volumes of water is so good for us, especially with the heat that is coming. We really have higher temps and way too much humidity already!  I normally drink a LOT of water but I think adding flavors to it is so refreshing. Lemon water first thing in the morning is extremely beneficial to our bodies as noted below.

I love adding limes, fresh oranges, cucumber slices, mint, unsweetened cranberry juice and anything else you can think of. Many add a small amount of organic apple cider vinegar, a bit of honey and cayenne pepper to the lemon water. There's really no limit to the flavors you can create!

  1. Have heard of lemon water. but never had it. guess I am put off by the taste of just plain lemon.

    But! your version, things can be added.

    I do drink loads of water! Never am far away from it. :-) Carry it with me, etc.

    Use an empty Saratoga Sparkling Water glass bottle. Just fill it with cold water, keep in refrig. Always ready to go with me!

    And I prefer the glass bottle. Don't like plastic anymore.

  2. I've been drinking lots of lemon water and lime water lately as I'm trying to reduce caffeine. It's so enjoyable.

    Today I'm going to try kiwi in my water. :)

  4. I love lemon water! I drink it that way every day. I like your idea of putting other fruits and such in it. Keeps it from getting boring!

  6. I love lemon water! One of my other favorite things is to add frozen raspberries to my water. So refreshing, especially after a workout.

  9. I use a lot of lemons and limes here in Florida. They are very inexpensive and add so much flavor to water or tea. It's nice to know they are good for you, too! Enjoy your week! Hugs, Diane
