~ Friday Five ~

I know that many of you are thinking of Christmas and all it entails. I love the holiday ~ just too early for me to think of decorating already. :)  See this!

I do agree about shopping though!  IF you don't have yours completed, here are a few of my favorite things ~ as Oprah says.  This list is much smaller and much, much less expensive! All are available on Amazon, even the last item.

This book is one of my favorites!

Who is on God’s “guest list” for your life . . . and why? The answers may surprise you.

Through touching true stories and inspiring insight Debbie Macomber takes readers on a journey to discover the shaping influence others have on us and the power we have to shape and influence those whose paths cross ours.

I love, love the group, "Pink Martini" !  This is one of their older compilations but it's wonderful for Christmas!

Joy To The World

Seems one of the most popular Nude Palettes is by Urban Decay. Yes, they're wonderful but very expensive too!  I like to try too many different make-up items to spend a lot on one...unless it's proven itself over time. There are new ones out now by L'Oreal and these by Maybelline...much less costly!

Lowpricenice Cleaning Glove MakeUp Washing Brush Scrubber Board Cosmetic Clean (Pink)

A good , sanitary way to keep your quality make-up brushes clean. Good quality, durable.  This little jewel may seem frivolous but at $1.59 I don't think it is.

And, let's end with something sweet...

Deluxe

Each Apricot Pecan Cake is the perfect balance of native pecans (27% pecans), shelled here in Corsicana, Texas and the bountiful harvest of Australian apricots.

Does anyone make or eat Fruit Cakes now?  :)  This cake is very different and absolutely delicious!  Apricots and pecans?  How can you go wrong? And for those not in Texas, we say "pah cahns", not "pee cans".  I hate it when those on the cooking shows say the latter!  Check out their website ~ so many items including cheesecakes, pies, pound cakes...you name it!  These are wonderful for your holiday entertaining as well as shipping gifts.

** Just want to say that I'm not being compensated by Amazon or Collin Street Bakery.  These are some of my favorites and my opinion.

I hope you have a wonder*filled weekend!

When I was 10 years old...God sent a beautiful guardian angel into my life..she taught me about God...so I know one day we shall be together again. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  6. Hi Pat, Love the makeup brush cleaning tool. I have something like that for my paint brushes but will be looking for this one for makeup brushes for sure. I suppose I could find another like mine and try it on makeup brushes too. The makeup kits look beautiful. After all these years, I still love Maybelline. They've been around for years so they are doing something right. The cake looks so delicious!!

  7. Oh how funny, I didn't know you said "pah cahns" that way in Texas. This apricot pecan cake looks delicious, Pat. Yes, I love a yummy fruit cake still. I haven't read this book yet, but it sounds interesting.

I don't know if I mentioned to you before, but your posts are delightful to me. Have a terrific weekend.

  11. THANKS for introducing me to Pink Martini...LUV their music! I've read those sponge cosmetic things aren't good for the skin...pro make up artists don't use them, claim it pulls delicate skin. I wash my brushes every other month or so. And, if I post twice, apologies, sometimes I get confused...lol.
