~ Not So Silent Sunday ~

Remember the Hug Lady that I posted about here ?  Sadly, she passed away on Christmas Eve. I guess God decided there should be more hugs in Heaven. I do hope that she will be honored posthumously.

Please pray for folks in the Dallas area...so much destruction, injuries and deaths due to the tornadoes last night. It was 84 here yesterday and when the cold front passed through, the tornadoes and flash flooding began. We're ok in this area, DFW, and so grateful!  Unbelievable weather for the Christmas season!  We've been in the 70's all week. A blizzard and snow up to 24" is forecast for the Panhandle and rain most everywhere else. Yes, typical Texas weather ~ you never know what's next!

  1. Good Sunday Morning Pat. I did get an email about the hug lady passing. She is now finished with her purpose here and will be at rest in heaven. She did such a beautiful thing in her life for the men and women that give up so much for our freedom. Loved her purpose and story. Very inspiring. Praying for all of those in the path of those storms. Have a great week as we head on down to the new year. Hoping for better blessings in the new year.

  3. Oh, I didn't hear about the tornadoes in Texas, Pat. So glad your area didn't get hit. I'm sorry to hear about the "hug lady." She gave many hugs here on earth and put many smiles on their faces. :)

    Have a peaceful Sunday, Pat.

  4. Oh that's sad:( I bet she is having a hugging good time in Heaven! Our weather has been weird but not destructive! Lots of rain, really warm temps and some flooding of the lakes and rivers! I pray that 2016 will be better for everyone! Have a blessed evening dear Pat, HUGS!

  5. I saw a Facebook meme that Texas just saw all four seasons in a single day. Hang in there! And thanks for mentioning the hug lady; I love her story.

  6. So sorry to hear about hugging lady. A good hug can make your day. I worked at SS in GRand Junction for couple years. one wonderful lady was transferred from Denver to G.J. and we got to be very good friends. We'd have good hugs at least once during every day. loved my job there, was working under a federal program to get seniors back into work force, had to be 65 and under specific income level. Was so hard when it was time to go. Felt like we were all family, really cried. Still see that lady and couple others, get invited to special events. Some of people have retired since i left. Sure miss those fantastic hugs.
So sorry to hear about tornadoes in TX, know how scarey that is, had few close by when we lived in KY, tore up our yard, thru umbrella, table over house, had part of neighbors barn roof all over our yard. Feel so bad for people have seen on tv.
take good care of yourself, HAPPY NEW YEAR.
