~ Monday Musings ~

How was your weekend?  I hope you had sunshine and an opportunity to be outside. Our temps are still fluctuating but I believe spring is here!  So many flowers are beginning to bloom and I've seen buds on several trees. It's always a time of renewal and refreshment I think. We're clearing out closets, changing decor and taking a look at our wardrobes. I'm participating in the "40 bags in 40 days" project.  I like it as you have choices ~ a "bag" can be a junk drawer, the refrigerator, pantry or any area that needs decluttering. It feels so good to clear out!  I've downsized so much in the past few years and donated or tossed a jillion things. I've still found things in my closet that must go!  Why I've held on to them maybe the thought of "I'll lose weight",  "I should keep this in case I attend a formal affair", etc. Well, to be very honest, I doubt I'll ever be that small size again. I'm on a healthy eating program but not trying to wear a size 6. And...how many "formal affairs" do I attend?  Zero, nada, zip!  :)

You must take a few moments and view this video ~ it's hilarious!!  If you have little ones or grands, you will relate.

In case I haven't mentioned it, I have an addiction to make-up, lip color, nail color, etc. I found this "new to me" lipstick in the L'Oreal Infallible line. I chose the "Toujour Teaberry" shade and love it!  I'll be honest, it doesn't stay on as advertised but it feels great on. The balm on one end of the container makes it feel creamy and moisturizing. I tried to add a picture of it but was unable to.

I also found this awesome cuticle remover!  I used it last night and my cuticles look like I've been to a salon. Takes less than 5 minutes and is well worth your time. It was less than $4 at Walmart. My nails have become horrid lately and I'm not sure why. I'm still using Nailtiques 2 and Hair, Skin and Nails. I did run out of Biotin and that's probably the issue. I just purchased a new bottle so I'm hoping I'll wake up one morning with amazing, longer nails. :)

I had to take my boy to the Pet Emergency Hospital yesterday morning. He wasn't himself Saturday evening...wouldn't eat or drink water. It was after 3:00 a.m. before we slept and he woke me at 5:00. He just looked horrible, had labored breathing and still panting.  My daughter went with me, thank goodness!  I was so afraid this was "it". He's a rescue and about 16 years old. Bottom line, after the exam and bloodwork, the Dr thinks it's a dental issue. He is soooo bad with strangers and any type of exam, so will need to be sedated for them to check his mouth.  They gave him an antibiotic shot plus meds for inflammation and pain. He's eating and drinking fine now so I can get the meds down him. I'm so grateful that his overall health appeared to be very good!
After last week with my allergies and constant migraines, I'm planning on us having a healthier week!  I hope you do too!

Thank you for stopping by ~ it's always appreciated!

Update:  Not sure why, I failed to include a photo of my fur baby.  Please don't let him know!  :)

  1. Doesn't it feel good to clear out some of the clutter, Pat? I did that about two years ago when we downsized and moved into our house. I think I gave away about 11 bags of stuff. The L'Oreal lipstick sounds nice. The L'Oreal eyeliner is the only one I'll use, goes on smoothly.

I hope your dear pet gets well, poor thing. Have a beautiful week, and I love that spring quote.
