~ Changes, Depression and So Much Rain! ~

I don't want to be a Debbie Downer so will keep this short!  I just haven't been in a good place lately, thus less visiting and posting. Grief is a really strange experience and there are so many ups and downs. Those that have experienced a tremendous loss, understand.  I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone to have them understand.  Most of the time now I'm in a better place and think of all the fun times with Abby. Other times, the pain of loss hits and nothing interests me...blogging, projects, reading, watching TV, you name it!  I'm
feeling better now and just thought I'd explain where I've been.

I'm in the mood to change my bathroom decor. I'll share some photos of how it looks today and the last 2-1/2 years!  :)  My wall of crosses will remain. It's difficult to get a full photo of them due to the lack of space and the lighting is not good either. Here are just a few  way too many!

Trying for the full wall....

This is one of my favorites...

Another favorite...it's from New Mexico. I absolutely love silver and turquoise!

I hope you can see clearly what this one is made of!  :)  It's a DIY for sure and offers a wonderful opportunity to release any anger or tension you might have. Just pound in nails, add some screws, bolts, an old key and any other findings. Slap some paint on and call it good!

 Shower Curtain

Yes, I love color!

The metal angel is "Maria" and she is from Mexico!

Toothbrush included...just keepin' it real!  :)

I have a few ideas of how I might change things. Any suggestions?

You've probably heard about all the rain we've been having...with more forecast. So many areas are flooded again and it's so sad!  Houston is really having problems. There was a very severe hail storm recently and so much damage resulted. A friend of mine was having company come into town over the weekend and there were no rental cars available!  People with vehicles that were ruined are using them. There are roofing jobs for the next 2 years. Please remember these people in prayer!

  2. Pat, we really are kindred spirits. Looking at all of these things in your home makes me smile, and I see you have a lot of eclectic things, which I love. And that wall of Crosses!!! I think my favorite is the one with the star in the middle. The one from New Mexico is so beautiful too. I have a beaded one that's similar, but it's in all colors. Maria the angel is darling. And that shower curtain, LOVE IT!

I'm so sorry you are going through a difficult time right now. I do understand, my dear, as I'm going through many changes myself. I'm thinking about you and sending you a big hug of comfort.

    love, ~Sheri

  3. Pat, I don't know the story of your Abby but I surmise she is your daughter....and I cannot imagine your grief at the loss of her. Wishing you sunshine in the days ahead and sending hugs your way.
