~ Charming Texas Cottage ~

This Charming Texas Cottage is the Definition of Historic Chic

Sotheby's
Texas has no shortage of expansive mansions and rustic country digs. So when a luxurious property shows up that combines authentic 19th-century history with spacious ease, it has to be good.
The main house on this stunning Fredericksburg property revels in the natural texture of cottage living without sparing in luxury. Any aspiring dinner party hosts looking for a unique Texas-inspired space? This dining room brings back a sense of the Old West, but with a chic twist.

For those more inclined to hot baths and a book in bed, the bedrooms also include a little fire and a beautiful view.

But wait, there’s more! This cottage property actually comes with two houses.
The second, albeit smaller, house is an original structure from the 1850's. According to the property listing, this is one of the original 75 structures from the townsite of Fredericksburg. It even has a front porch worthy of a 19th-century Texan.

Not to be outdone, the historic cottage has been fitted out for guests or extended family in seamless luxury that mirrors the main house.
The log-cabin walls give the four-room cottage an historic feel complete with a fireplace.

What log cabin would be complete without a garden tub and a killer view upstairs?

  12. Pat, I could spend time here. This property is full of charm. Not in our budget, but with all the crazy spending here in TX, I suspect some young couple with $$$$$ will be the next owner. ;-)

  17. Is that all...Oh, I got this! lol! We're in the process of trying to sell our house, and move to a small cottage ourselves. My husband's sister and brother live in Texas, and he has wanted to go there for some time now. I was starting to get a little excited thinking, "just maybe", until I saw the price tag! Geez...unreal. So glad you showed this little charming, dolled up cottage though:) Have a great day!
