~ 50 Ways to Take a Break ~

I just wanted to advise you that I'm taking a break. I've had a migraine for days and feel like you-know-what!  It will pass but I feel a need for a bit of time off.  I'd like to improve my meditation skills, journal, read more spiritual information and the Bible, new books I haven't read and I think just try to figure out what I want for me this new year. I don't know if I'll continue to blog...I don't feel that I'm adding a lot to blog land right now. I'm also trying to figure out when I'll be having back surgery. Determining care for my precious Forrester is #1 and that is difficult. He's older than my daughter's dog and doesn't have any interest in playing the way she wants to. :)  He's losing his vision and hearing, needs meds daily and I pamper him as far as food, walks, etc.  After all, they're here to be spoiled! I'll find an answer...just need some time to work on this.

I apologize that I haven't been around ~ now you know why!  Take good care of you and enjoy every moment!

  6. Hi Pat,
I wish I lived closer to help you with your fur baby. I totally get that they need that extra attention. I am the same way with Cooper. I know once you get your back surgery your quality of life and not living in so much pain will be so much better. I know that has been a big health issue for you. So I am glad to hear you are thinking of going through with it. Hey sometimes a break from blogging can be a good thing. Sometimes life issues become more important. I think once you get some of your health issues taken care of and take a little mental health break you will feel better. Keep us posted on how things are going.
    xoxo

  9. Hi there, This is my first visit to your blog. I am going to hold you up in prayer and believe God for your healing and no back surgery. Like you, I consider myself to be part Gypsy. I am also a dog mom, and have spend over 40 years saving one dog at a time from death row, to rehab them and find them forever homes. I know how central a dog can be to your life. Your baby sounds precious and I understand how hard it is to find quality care like you provide for him. This is why I hate to travel or go on a vacation. I hate to leave my babies. So I will keep you in prayer. Everyone needs a blogging break. Time to refresh yourself. I NEVER look for followers on my blog. I don't care. I believe the people who are supposed to visit my blog will. It is just a place for me to self express. So, I hope you have a time of refreshing, a time to walk in a deeper place with God and that you receive a healing in your body. Many blessings sweet lady and great dog mom. God Bless You -

  11. Pat, I will be praying for your time away from blogging and for your back. I took a blogging break for 6 months last year and it was one of the best things I could have done for myself. I wasn't sure if I would return to the blog and chose to just go with the flow. I did come back refreshed and with a new perspective. Whatever you decide to do, if you are following God it will be the right thing. Hugs, Nancy

  12. Dear Pat, I'll be praying for you concerning the migraines. So miserable. You are valued here in blogland and would be missed if you quit. I often feel I don't have anything to add either, so sometimes a break is what's needed. I don't do decorating or food posts very often and my life seems pretty dull compared to some bloggers. The friendships though are so wonderful!
As for your Forrester-you'll know when its time. Prayers for you over this-it is so hard to loose a pup.
    Hugs,
    Noreen

  13. I too have had an unexpected break from blogging (they seem to happen more frequently this past year!). Everyone picks up again if and when you decide to pop in for a bit. Best of luck with your surgery. I'm sure finding help with your dear pup will work out perfectly at the right time. Hugs & prayers to you Pat.

  14. I hope you feel better soon. Even Jesus needed a break to rest. Take the time you need to feel better! Just being in nature, listening to the birds helps me to unwind and relax. We all need to get away from the noise of life sometime. Then we can come back refreshed and stronger!
    With love, Linda
